March Madness

March Madness

Damn so it’s April 10th and I just realized I never made a post for March…. So you guys are about to get DP’d with blog posts. March was, to put it politely, fucking incredible! I essentially spent the first week in Cali and the rest of the month playing in Miami and going to events during Miami Music Week, Winter Music Conference, and of course Ultra.

L.A. was, as always, amazing and welcoming. I got to hang with some old friends and made some new ones. I sat in at Beat Lab Academy as Side Brain made the illest track and blew my mind with his production techniques. I, of course, managed to squeeze in a stop at Amoeba Records and picked up some vinyl in between studio sessions. After that, I got to play a cool show at Black Hammer Brewing in San Francisco with one of my major influences and now good friend, Mochipet. It was my first time in San Fran and unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to do much, so I took care fo the essentials… eating. We ate at this hella dope Phō spot and got some legit ass boba from Aqua Club. The line there was out the door and turning a corner as we left, I guess it’s a happening spot! Right after that, I flew into Ft. Lauderdale and rocked the Fat Beats party with Numonics and SomeJerk at Original Fat Cat’s. I BASSed out so hard, there was a tornado warning! The BASS scared the tornados away tho and the party continued unscathed. Roll clip…

That all lead up to our big event during WMC which we ever so creatively called “Winter Bass Conference”. Big ups to The Miami New Times for coming through again and naming our event one of “The Best things to do on Saturday” aside from Ultra. That was so crazy because, not only did we expand the network of our show to include more artists, but we also were able to bring in some legends. MartyParty, Mochipet, Otto Von Schirach, Afro Beta, and the godfather of Moombahton himself, Dave Nada all graced us with amazing sets. You also got a preview of the newly renovated “Green Room” which is now gray. We got more work to do, and all in the name of throwing a better party for you guys.

I also wanted to personally say thank you to all of you who filled the room during my set that night, you truly made it special for me. Thank you for allowing me to take you on a weird journey. I know I pushed the envelope a bit, but trust me I do it for you. I went into some odd territories to kind of prepare you for what’s to come (winky face).
Well… see you in the next post!
